76th Anniversary of Women in the Air Force Celebrated with AHF
The Airman Heritage Foundation (AHF) was represented at this year’s Women in the Air Force Association (WAFA) Reunion celebrating their 76th Anniversary in Columbus, Ohio during the last week of September. Lt. Col. (ret) Dave Shultz, AHF Education/Outreach Program Manager, expressed his gratitude for the proud legacy WAF built during their three-decade period in U.S. Air Force history and also provided thanks for the artifacts donated throughout the years that have been used profusely in the AHF’s and Airman Heritage Museum’s static displays and Living History presentations.
Shultz also coined WAFA president Col. (ret.) Sean Habina, CMSgt. (ret.) Bonnie Cooper, and former SSgt. Sherry Chadwick for all their support to AHF. Their dedication has encouraged many of the WAF veterans to become members of the AHF. A small static display in the hospitality room was built with the help of Sonya Shultz and AHF member and WAF veteran, Sherry Chadwick.
