Celebrating Retirees with JSBA Lackland
Airman Heritage Foundation Engages with Military Retirees at JBSA Lackland Retiree Appreciation Day
On Saturday, March 2, 2025, the Airman Heritage Foundation (AHF) proudly participated in Joint Base San Antonio – Lackland’s Retiree Appreciation Day at Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center. The event brought together hundreds of military retirees, families, and supporters to celebrate service and strengthen community ties.
The day included opening remarks from Col. Willie Cooper, Commander of the 37th Training Wing, who welcomed attendees and recognized the vital contributions of our retired service members. Throughout the day, dozens of visitors stopped by the AHF table to learn more about the organization’s mission, explore ongoing programs, and connect with the Airman Heritage Museum.
Visitors enjoyed a meaningful experience filled with U.S. Air Force history and shared stories of service. From preserving enlisted Airman and Guardian legacy to promoting heritage education, the AHF remains committed to honoring those who have served and inspire future generations.
