Danny Sanchez

Danny Sanchez is an accomplished marketing professional with over 20 years of experience in several industries.

Mr. Sanchez first began his marketing career in 1997, working 10 years an educational and clinical publishing company before moving to the credit union industry. He has also worked as a journalist for 16 years, covering sports in the San Antonio area, including the San Antonio Spurs, for the Associated Press, Sports XChange and the San Antonio Express-News. He is a past board member (Treasurer 2009-10) and current member of the San Antonio Association of Hispanic Journalist (SAAHJ).

Mr. Sanchez has immersed himself into the credit union industry. He is a 2010 graduate from Southwest Credit Union National Association (CUNA) Management School.  He held the Chair and Co-Chair position for the Credit Unions for Kids in 2009-10, an organization supporting the Children’s Hospital of San Antonio with which he developed a close bond with and is still an active member of the steering committee. He has also a former member of the Alamo Chapter of Credit Unions (ACCU) Marketing Council and was elected to the ACCU Board of Directors (2012-2014).

Mr. Sanchez is an active runner, golfer, music enthusiast and sports fan. He is committed to serving the community, participating on several committees including the Credit Union for Kids golf and the San Antonio Food Bank “Turkey Trot” committee.

He attended the University of Texas at San Antonio, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in English (1995) and an Executive Masters in Business Administration (2016).
