Foundation Celebrates Black History Month with 37th Training Wing
The Airman Heritage Foundation (AHF) participated in a Black History Month Open House sponsored by the 37th Training Wing on February 26 at the BMT Pfingston Reception Center on Joint Base San Antonio – Lackland. The event spotlighted famous African American individuals and units that served from WWII through current day. AHF Board Member, Maj. Gen. Alfred Flowers, was one of four distinguished guests who answered questions about their experience and outlook as members of our Armed Forces. As a part of the event, the AHF outfitted six volunteer Airmen in U.S. Air Force in period uniforms to match the era represented in post boards that depicted notable African Americans that served in the military.
