Christopher Dion


Christopher G. Dion, MSgt, USAF (Ret), is an Airman Heritage Foundation Board Member. He began his military career in 1991 in the United States Army with the 7th Infantry Division, later transferring to the Army National Guard and Reserves in New England, serving as a Calvary Scout and then an M1 Abrams Gunner. In 2001, Dion transferred to the Air Force Reserves, returning to full active duty in 2004 with the Air Force Security Forces. Several of his key Security Forces assignments with the 341 Training Squadron include Military Working Dog Handler, Military Working Dog Trainer, Military Working Dog Handler Course Instructor Team Chief, and Liaison and Trustee of the Military Working Dog Teams National Monument. He then moved to the 502nd Air Base Wing as Inspector General Installation Exercise Manager. After 28 years of service, including several overseas deployments, he retired from the Air Force in 2019 and currently works for the Transportation Security Administration as a K9 Program Analyst. Additionally, he is an ordained minister and founder of the Rusted Knights Ministries in Bandera, Texas. Dion joined the Airman Heritage Foundation Board in January, 2019.
