Participate in the Oral History Project Today!

In partnership with PCI, the Airman Heritage Foundation is launching The Oral History Project in honor of the United States Air Force’s 75th Birthday! This year long program will work to capture the stories of American Airmen in your own voice. Stories will be transcribed into a hardbound and digital edition that will not only  be a wonderful keepsake for all those who participate and their families, but a beautiful opportunity to preserve the history of the American Airman.

Postcards will be sent to current members of the Airman Heritage Foundation this September inviting you to participate at no cost. The anticipated release of these efforts will coincide in September 2022, in time for the United States Air Force’s historic 75th Birthday.

The Airman Heritage Foundation is dedicated to honoring and preserving the history of enlisted Airmen. Stories about your experience matters. If you have not been contacted by team members of PCI and would like to participate in the Oral History Project, please fill out our interest form here.

If you have any questions about the Oral History Project, contact the Foundation at marketing@myairmanmuseum.org.

Frequently Asked Questions

I received an email/postcard/phone call from a company asking for my personal information and a story about Airman Heritage Foundation. Is this a legitimate project or is it a scam?

It’s legit! We have partnered with PCI (also known as Publishing Concepts) to produce an Oral History Publication for Airman Heritage Foundation. PCI is a family owned business based in Dallas, TX that has published directories for educational institutions, fraternities, sororities, and military organizations across the nation for almost 100 years. This project allows Airman Heritage Foundation to hear about your personal experiences and explain how Airman Heritage Foundation has helped shape your lives.

Does Airman Heritage Foundation benefit from this at all?

Yes, in a few different ways:

  • Updated Information – allows us to effectively communicate with and engage members
  • Legacy – preserves the history of our organization
  • Revenue – generates membership revenue for member programs
  • Pride – wearing apparel shows support and love for our organization
