Veteran’s Day with USAF Band of the West
On Veteran’s Day, the Airman Heritage Foundation partnered with the USAF Band of the West to provide a static display for the band’s “Salute to Our Veterans” concert held at the Lila Cockrell Theater in downtown San Antonio. Hundreds of guests turned out for the event, many of whom received a major dose of USAF history thanks to the “mobile museum” installed by the Foundation’s Outreach Team. The exhibit included a scaled down version of the “Hall of Heroes” used at the JBSA USAF 75th Anniversary Ball that took place in September 2022. The Band Director was so impressed he expressed a desire to collaborate with the Foundation on more events in the future. The Foundation wants to express a sincere thanks to the Airman Heritage Museum staff for helping make this event a complete success!
